PLEASE NOTE: To complete the enrollment process, you must complete both the payment through the Plug N Pay on line payment center to reserve the class as well as the class application to reserve the seat. The Hoover Fire Department offers American Heart Association CPR Certification Classes for the general public during the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Saturdays of each month. The classes are held at Hoover Fire Station #7 located at 100 Inverness Parkway which is off of Valleydale Road near Highway 280.
Please note that class size is limited and the class may be full before we are able to remove it from the available class selections. Consequently, your registration is not guaranteed until you receive confirmation via email from a HFD CPR Coordinator. Please note that if you show up and are not registered you may be turned away. | Heartsaver/AED CPR |
This class is designed for the layperson who is either seeking to learn CPR and AED operation, or is required by their job to obtain this training. However, anyone may register for this class. This course requires the completion of a written examination and provides training for infant, child, and adult resuscitation. |

| Healthcare Provider CPR |
This class is designed for the Healthcare Provider (nurse, physician, EMT, etc.), however, anyone may register for this class. This course requires the completion of a written examination and provides training for infant, child, and adult resuscitation.
This class is available on the 1st and 2nd Saturday's of the month, and begins at 9:00 A.M. and lasts for approximately 4 hours.

| Skills Only Testing |
If you prefer, you may take the American Heart Association online class (http://www.onlineaha.org/). After completing this course, you may register for the Skills only testing option. These skill testing sessions are available the 1st and 2nd Saturday of each month between the hours of 12:00 P.M. and 1:00 P.M. Please remember to bring your printed certificate of completion provided through the American Heart Associations online testing center so that you may participate in testing. |

The rate for all classes is $15.00, required to reserve the class through our on-line payment center.
If needed, manuals will be provided during the class. However, if you desire to purchase your own the following resources are available:

The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association, and any fees charged for such a course do not represent income to the Association.
